Hybrid napier grass has been developed as an end result of hybridization between pennisetum americanum, pennisetum purpuperum bajra and pure napier. It was introduced to the market in India in 1996. Hybid napier is a bait plant with a life of 2-3 years.

After 60-65 days from planting, the first crop reaches. Every 25-30 days comes with a style. It is harvested 7-8 times a year. It is eaten in green and it is also silaged.
The optimum growth temperature developed over 15 degrees is 31 degrees.
25-40 tons of weed per year are harvested.
It has fast growth, high yield, high leaf rate and high dry matter content.
